This is how broken the democratic process in Canada is. A mega bank based in America hired an army of ex-Liberals, Conservatives and NDPers and bolted the issue of Billy Bishop expansion to the top of the priority list for Ford and Carney.

No one voted for it. No one wanted it. No one campaigned on it. Torontonians are massively against it.

We are under economic warfare. Ontario govt wiped out OSAP for students. Yet govts think it wise to spend their resources on an issue no one wanted except one mega US bank.

This is the key danger of privatization. These foreign equity banks are massive, comparable to govts and have ability to bribe and buy out govts. JP Morgan just did it.

The Ford government's $750 classroom gift card gimmick was insulting and admits that our schools are underfunded.

Asking teachers to buy classroom supplies is like asking nurses to shop for medical supplies before work because the hospital can't provide them.

Now we learn that $300 of the promised $750 isn't even new funding - it's being taken from existing education dollars. That's not an investment in public education. It's a shell game.

Doug Ford didn’t “fix” Ontario healthcare. He systematically underfunded it, overwhelmed it, and pushed it toward collapse while pretending everything was under control.

ER wait times are exploding. Hospitals are running deficits. Nurses and healthcare workers are burnt out and leaving in droves. Patients are suffering.

The #Ontario HST removal on properties under $1,000,000 is a massive scam.

What normally happens:

- Builder finishes a condo
- Sells it to a buyer
- GST/HST gets paid on that sale

If it doesn’t sell:

- Builder is stuck holding it
- They still have financing costs, taxes, etc

Now with @fordnation’s help they can do this instead:

- Put the unit into the rental pool
- In tax terms, that’s treated like a “deemed sale” to themselves
- Now they don’t have to pay the taxes thanks to Ford

Normally, they would still owe GST/HST on that “self-supply” but with the tax break, that cost is removed.

Why this matters:

- It removes a big penalty for not selling
- So builders think: “Why discount and sell at a loss? Just rent it out and wait for prices to recover!”

There are 30,000 condos alone due to finish construction in 2026.

That’s $2.8 billion in taxes avoided.

Everything Ford does is for himself and his friends.
