Pre-teaching Tier 3 vocabulary is one of the key ways teachers can make complex texts accessible.

Using prefixes, suffixes and their etymology is a highly effective way of doing this.

One of the absolutely *maddest* things about the current content-heavy GCSE specs in history is that you can be a way for a _single_ lesson and it be a topic of a ~20 mark question.
