“The right agent won’t be an app.” – @vkhosla
“Where do most people live? They live in their email, they live in text messaging, they live in Slack.”
“The app, if there’s one, is just in the background.”
“Meeting a consumer where they are—the consumer experience is really, really important.”
@samdblond 100% agree. The more marketing I do, the more I realize it’s actually quite hard to predict what will work. Even experienced people are bad at this.
Volume of experiments wins.
Several people have reaching out about sponsoring something similar since we did @marclou (later outbid).
It was interesting because it’s 1. novel and 2. going viral
I was paying to be a part of the vitality and later post when he runs that will likely go viral too.
It’s hard to imagine wanting to sponsor anyone who is willing to do it unless they are actively/regularly going viral.
I don’t know what @marclou started but I think at the end of this there will be a billion dollar company that does on-body sponsorships for any kind of activity.
The other element I've started to see emerge in consumer is something like "personality"/relationship lock in.
Once a consumer feels they have a deep relationship w/ an AI, know and like it's personality, they don't want that to change.
Best example of this was when open ai removed GPT-4o. Users reacted as if they lost a girl/boy friend.
I think a relevant moat in this area is going to emerge where users don't want to switch products due to relationship lock-in.
The evolution of sales titles, is funny. No one wants to say they do sales for obv reasons:
Sales - human history - 2010
Account Executive - 2010-2025
GTM - 2025-present
Growth - present-2027
@julianweisser This totally makes sense! With AI, solo founding very possible and more enticing since you can just do so much more.
I think working alone/loneliness will be an issue for these founders. Cool to program to help w/ that.
@Molson_Hart@carlocruz Kids congratulated for working hard consistently outperform those who were told they are smart in future tests
Telling someone they are smart translates to an inherent fact of them rather than something they have to earn repeatedly like working hard.
