@_hudsonc@SecRubio Do you care to mention these towns/places supposedly under occupation? Circular regurgitation of falsehoods doesn’t magically make it true. Stop the lies and fake news!

Exposing the racist and sexist behaviour of Reform UK councillors and a candidate to be MP
I don't want to type out the racist, sexist language. Click play, but be warned, it's uncensored.
The full expose will be broadcast on October 18th at 10:20pm
My view: The comments are awful and disgusting. But what’s almost as disturbing is how familiar they sound.
This kind of racism and sexism is not confined to private chats or fringe political circles; people encounter it every day on social media.
When it’s said in person and broadcast on television, the reaction is immediate: shock, condemnation and demands for answers. But when people face the same abuse online, the response is often far quieter. Non-white Labour MPs have repeatedly described the racist abuse directed at them on social media. Their experiences should prompt more than a statement of support after each new case.
Successive Conservative governments, and now Labour, have had years to confront the way online platforms enable this behaviour. Legislation exists, but people are still left to deal with torrents of abuse while platforms profit from engagement and enforcement remains inadequate.
Why should racism and sexism be treated as intolerable when a camera captures it in a room, yet accepted as part of everyday life when it appears on a screen?
If these comments are shocking on television, they should be shocking wherever they are made.
Keir Starmer wasted two years not making online a safer space, will Andy Burnham continue his legacy, or show some leadership and take action?
@george_posts Let’s not externalise the real reason our country is isolated bro. Our people is needlessly paying huge sacrifices for one man’s massive ego. No reason whatsoever to be antagonistic to 🇺🇸 when countries much more powerful like the EU don’t even do that.
@africantrueking@Aksum_99 Your greed is always your downfall, Haileselasie had it all but he was too greedy & cocky and u end up losing Eritrea, now get cocky and greedy and you will lose Ethiopia for good
@WediMahta Agreed that no one can redraw Eritrea's borders, and the regime has failed us badly. But toppling the army from outside would leave a Somalia-style vacuum: warlords armed by foreign powers, carving up the Red Sea coast. We must remove the regime without losing the state.
If this is the brightest the regime has to offer, I genuinely feel bad for #Ethiopia. Led by people who brag about technology but can't explain how a "not working" phone is being tracked by GPS. Embarrassing.
#eritrea
🇪🇹🇪🇷 The American Enterprise Institute's Critical Threats Project says reported Eritrean incursions into northern Ethiopia are unconfirmed, though it assesses Eritrea likely sent a limited number of reinforcements to back the TPLF.
In a new assessment, CTP said it geolocated images from pro-Ethiopian government sources claiming to show Eritrean forces near Adigrat in Tigray, but could not verify when they were taken or who was in them. It found no large-scale Eritrean buildup on the border in satellite imagery. AFP and ACLED reported Thursday that Eritrean forces in Adigrat had pulled back north.
As the two countries edge toward direct war, a prominent journalist is also accusing ACLED, one of the most widely cited conflict monitors, of echoing the Ethiopian government's line.
On Friday, the Economist's Africa correspondent Tom Gardner said ACLED's head sounded like an Ethiopian irredentist, meaning someone who believes Eritrea's coast rightfully belongs to Ethiopia. He shared excerpts from ACLED predicting the Ethiopian army would push toward Eritrea's port of Assab and describing that part of Eritrea as a "strange finger" that "seems to solely serve as a barrier to the sea for Ethiopia."
Gardner said it was another reminder of why ACLED “is not a credible or reliable source of info on Ethiopia and Eritrea,” even though news outlets around the world routinely cite its data.
He has also criticized ACLED for recording only 5,325 deaths in the 2020-2022 Tigray war, which killed hundreds of thousands, according to researchers' estimates.
@Habjustice1@Tseday The intellectual dishonesty of not some, but a significant majority of the Addis elite is mind numbing , I stopped explaining a while back
@reda_getachew I don’t know about that but you perfected self humiliation to an art form. I feel bad for all the Tegaru, They have to feel deep embarrassment every time you open your mouth.
@lindseyhilsum@Channel4News Unfortunately, that report was not your finest hour Lindsey. To label it misinformation would be very charitable. Please audit your sources if you have any shred of integrity left in you, with the greatest respect.
#Eritrea
@_hudsonc Okay now it’s official @_hudsonc has no qualms about spreading fake-news about a non-existent invasion , question is why? #UAE 🇦🇪 money ???(country behind all the chaos in east Africa)
@_hudsonc What is your source mr Hudson? If you repeat Ethiopian gov propaganda without checking for veracity, then you are part of the problem.
And no, “two anonymous dudes in Adigrat with mobiles that works for call but mysteriously fails to take real video” is not fit for purpose.
In 2017, #Channel4 wrongly identified the terror attacker who killed five people at Westminster, London. The man named was actually still serving a prison sentence.
Today, they did it again, falsely accusing #Eritrea of invading #Ethiopia.
