@LEPER_KlNG@lancethepants23 in my mind donating blood for no monetary reward is quite the selfless act, but people are so caught up in themselves and/or their own finances that they never even want to try. it just sucks. your blood can literally save lives but people can't see past their own needs
@LEPER_KlNG@lancethepants23 i donate platelets, it's a 3 hour donation with very little reward (maybe a $15 & a shirt), but i do it bc i like it. despite 3 years of being open and proud about donating so often (platelets can be done weekly), only 1 friend has started donating bc of my encouragement.
Each of your nostrils has a different job. When we breathe, we take in more air through one nostril than the other, alternating every few hours. The different levels of airflow sensitise each nostril to different smells, so that your brain receives more complete information.
