BREAKING: GIBBERISH! Trump gives a totally nonsensical explanation after Fox's Laura Ingraham confronts him and asks why he doesn't just send out the promised $5,000 checks right now.

"Why not just give the money now? If you have it, why not just give it now?" Ingraham asked Trump during a sit-down interview.

She was referring to the absurd and frankly pathetic promise that Trump made at the Republican convention last night to send $5,000 to every adult American if his party holds the House and Senate in the midterm elections. It represents a blatant attempt to bribe voters because Republicans are too unpopular to win fairly.

Crucially though, Trump lacks the power to unilaterally spend the $1.3 trillion it would take to implement a program. This would be just another broken promise in a long string of broken promises.

Not surprisingly, Trump was unable to provide an explanation for why he doesn't just send the checks now.

"Because they can't— I'll tell you what," he said. "Because the Democrats can't do it. Because with them it's negative growth. With us it's so positive. So we're taking in $21 trillion. Nobody— No country's ever taken in anywhere near that. It's four, five times higher than the next— All because of that beautiful word that you and I love more than most other: tariffs."

With the Democrats it's negative growth? What does that even mean? What the hell is the President talking about? This is incomprehensible rambling and it's a result of two factors. One, Trump knows that his supporters are so gullible and brainwashed that he no longer has to provide them with real explanations or policy proposals. And two, this man is in a state of profound cognitive decline.
