part of living cross-culturally is that you don't ever get to go home again. The you that left isn't the you that comes back, and the home you come back to is never the same as the one you left.
I don't really remember if this was in the info packet, but no one ever says that swinging on a swing in your 40s can make you just a bit motion sick...like when did that become a thing?
sometimes being an adult is like being a dog that is chasing a car. And then you catch the car and they throw the keys to the car to the dog and say, "it's yours now." So now I'm a dog that has to figur out how to drive the car I just caught.

You didn't really want me to consider it did you? I'm not complaining. I love the class, I just think consider was a funny word to use in that context...
So I'm working on a homework assignment for a class I'm taking. And the assignment says "read this section." So I read it. Then it says "Consider making a bulleted list of notes for this passage to cite in the final paper." And I'm like ok...maybe I should.
So I'm thinking about it and I'm likey let's see what else I have to do this week before committing to this note taking adventure. The next page says "please upload the notes that you took in the last section." I'm thinking ok, I only considered it... Now you want me to do it?
