Is it even possible in this day and age for a school to talk about MLK without watering it down to “everyone matters” or “don’t bully.” White school leaders and teachers have ignored justice so long that we put ALL justice on the back of MLK. Help.

@technolibrary I’m dying to do this option. My classroom is large and I could use my large screen to display Zoom faces. I wouldn’t have to see anyone. Also, being out of my house means I can be a better teacher, not one pulled in a million directions.

Listening to @LRCkcrw: somehow surprised by @rickhess99 describing school like it was in 1980. So much innovation and pedagogical change has happened since the days of silent rows of desks and all day worksheets. Outdated views are odd and harmful to real innovation in education.

@vanweringh Always advocating for memorization of basic facts. You do it in every other subject, but it’s frowned on in humanities. Why?! How can students build meaning in context without basic info already in their brains?
