It's been a really good year for Study Buddy. And we're so grateful for the support of the teachers and parents who've been using our tools - and the opportunity to help so many students in the run-up to their GCSE and A Level exams #SmallBusiness#gcse2023#win
Such a fabulous day. It was a real pleasure to spend the morning with the Year 11s. (and then the sixth form in the afternoon!). They're a credit to the school.
And, what an amazing venue! @Warminster1707
@adamboxer1 a really great opening session #educationfest As a non teacher it was a genuine eye opener!!
The four planks of homework
1. Access
2. Meaningful thinking
3. Accountability

How do you decide which #educationfest sessions to go to? I've taken three passes to try to sort out the multiple clashes. I can only think I'm going to have to flip a coin....
@badger_claire@BradleyKBusch@Inner_Drive Seeing success as a catalyst for motivation is really interesting.
Do you think that perhaps helping students to either fake or otherwise by-pass an initial burst of motivation is what they need to get going. (Rather than trying to hitch their wagon to a specific aspiration)
@shaun_allison@atharby A great read. I find that often people hear routine and think rigid or militaristic. Whereas I'm minded to think it could simply be a framework - repeatable patterns of behaviour and activity.
Loved the Aristole 'quote' - definitely borrowing that too!
My daughter needs your help! If you have a pet (or more) would you mind taking 4 mins to answer a quick survey?

She's looking at how animals are used in therapy and is interested in how we relate to our pets at home.
Leaving the house in the dark wasn't fun, but I'm so excited to be heading to Peterborough for a focus session on time management and revision with 20 PP GCSE students. My first out of the South West! @thestudybuddyUK
