The biggest example of why the Ballon d’or shouldn’t be taken seriously is because Messi has won Only 8 of them.
If it was actually based on Merit he would currently have 16-17 Ballon d’ors but that would be too boring for people
Some franchises aren’t capable of supporting their legends the right way.
Jokic was on a path to becoming one of the Top 10 players to ever play basketball.
That wasn’t realistic in Denver.
The hate Argentina got this tournament made me realize how easy it is to brainwash and program people. Would love to see someone publish work on this some day as it’s a very interesting case study.
Football’s GOAT debate is genuinely the most manufactured debate ever.
Gap between Lionel Messi and the 2nd best player just isn’t close. At all.
And nothing from active players will make it so.
Such a sad day for the @AltitudeTV family.
Chris Dempsey is one of the nicest human beings I’ve ever met. He’s a fellow native. I’m gonna miss our thoughtful conversations about Denver sports.
Scott Hastings, often blunt but always fair, you carry more than a quarter-century of @nuggets lore. Thanks for teaching all of us the game. Will never forget how emotional you got during the final seconds of Game Five in ‘23.
Chris Marlowe — you are a mentor and a friend. Many of us consider you THE VOICE of Nuggets basketball. You will always be the voice. And we will truly miss that voice.

It's obvious to anybody who isn't an OKC/SGA supporter that OKC benefits from a massive double standard from the referees. Teams are simply not allowed to play them with the same level of physicality that they are allowed to play against their opponents. This particularly applies to SGA more than anybody else.
Everybody focuses on the fouls called, but it's the fouls NOT called that are more impactful. However, there's no stat to track non-calls because it will always be "subjective". This dilemma creates endless arguments. But watching the games, we all see it.
OKC doesn't NEED the whistle they get to be a great team, but that whistle does take them to a level of dominance that feels artificial and impossible to fully respect no matter how much they win.
After a horrible start to the year, Cam Johnson has quietly had a LONG stretch of being really good in his role...
Insanely efficient play finisher at 6'8. Been a part of a lot of excellent lineup combinations this season. Career 65.4 TS% in the playoffs
