@BernieSanders@elonmusk This isn’t merely an AI race, it’s the defining arms race of this century. If America pauses while China advances, we aren’t making the world safer; we’re unilaterally disarming.
AI will underpin cyber defense, intelligence, autonomous weapons, critical infrastructure and economic power. A nation with inferior models will be forced to defend at human speed against threats operating at machine speed.
Regulate dangerous capabilities and negotiate reciprocal, verifiable limits. But a U.S.-only pause isn’t safety. It’s surrender.

🚨Recent satellite imagery suggests that the Department of War has conducted a covert dredging operation to open up a never-before-used shipping corridor through the Omani side of the Strait of Hormuz.
The corridor in question is an approximately 1,600-foot-wide waterway with a natural depth of about 93 feet, meaning that only a small amount of dredging would have been necessary to make it safe for VLCCs (Very Large Crude Carriers).
Worth noting, ships navigating this corridor remain completely outside the Iranian regime’s line of sight due to the Omani island of Jazirat Musandam and the curvature of the Earth.

The US is winning the AI race on spend. China is winning it on efficiency.
23x less private investment. 2.7% behind on frontier benchmarks. Winning outright on open weights and deployment.
Quietly, China is taking the lead.
$DDOG keeps surfacing as a top conviction name in Orbital AIP's multi-agent Conviction Engine. The panel runs five independent specialists (Fundamentalist, Technician, Sentiment, Smart Money, Risk Officer) and votes BUY/HOLD/SELL with a conviction score.
DDOG scored a unanimous BUY at 74 conviction, 100% agreement. The case: profitable growth with ~$335M operating cash flow, ~79% gross margin, raised guidance, and a dominant momentum breakout (ADX>60) backed by broad institutional support.
The only flags are short-term technicals running overbought (RSI>80) and execution risk on new product monetization, neither sufficient to alter the verdict. Notably the Risk Officer, the agent built to find reasons not to own it, still landed on BUY at 70.
When the bear-case specialist agrees with the bulls, that's worth paying attention to.

One run of the Orbital AIP Conviction Engine touches 50+ nodes. 15 data sources, 5 specialist LLM agents in parallel (GPT-5 mini), a committee LLM that synthesizes them (Claude Opus 4.7), and a memory loop that writes the result back to the Ontology so the next run has context.
Running it daily on a ~25-name watchlist. Today's highest score:
$NOW · BUY · 75
4 of 5 specialists bullish:
✅ Fundamentalist 80 ($1.67B OCF, 13% margins)
✅ Technician 65 (SMA reclaim on 1.82x vol)
✅ Smart Money 82 (94 contributors, buy-dominant)
✅ Risk Officer 75 ($11.7B equity buffer)
The dissent: Sentiment Analyst held at 55 — agentic AI could eat ServiceNow's lunch.
Committee call: watch-item, not thesis-breaker.

Situational Awareness LP's Q1 2026 13F was due yesterday, May 15. It hasn't hit EDGAR.
The narrative forming is that Leopold closed the fund or sold across $BE $LITE $SNDK $CRWV $IREN to bring AUM below the $100M filing threshold.
Two structurally more likely reads:
1. Late filing. EDGAR routinely lags a day or two past the 45-day deadline, and managers can file delinquent. Recent SEC enforcement on late 13Fs has reached $750K in penalties, meaningful but not fatal for a $5.52B book.
2. Confidential treatment request. The SEC grants confidentiality for up to one year on holdings tied to ongoing acquisition programs where disclosure would harm competitive position. A book that scaled 22x in twelve months, still heavily concentrated in names Leopold is presumably still accumulating, is the textbook CTR profile.
Unwinding $5.5B of high-conviction AI-power positioning in 90 days to fall under $100M would be the wildest reversal of thesis I've seen. CTR or a late post is the boring base case.
