Is Christianity inherently conservative?
Why does modern theology lean progressive?
Why are Roman Catholic authors often better at articulating conservative principles for morality and culture than Protestants?
Why has evangelical theology often failed to prepare the Church for the subtler invasions of secular liberalism?
Why are conservative institutions often so incapable of fending off progressive revolutions from within?
Is a "reconquista" of the institutions possible the other way around?
Could the Anglican Church be saved from seemingly inevitable liberal oblivion? What would that take and what would it look like?
Is a revival in Britain possible *without* the Anglican Church?
In another wide-ranging episode of That Good Fight podcast, @nathanpaylor and I discuss such questions and more...

How should Christians navigate the political moment in Britain today?
The launch of Restore Britain has clearly catalysed a wave of patriotic fervour across the nation, not all of which has been especially welcomed by Christians, who remain cautious for various reasons.
But for many people, this feels different to the launch of other political movements in recent decades. Why are people joining Restore who never previously cared about politics and what does this suggest about the true depth of what has gone wrong in Britain and the yearning for a deeper solution?
In the latest episode of That Good Fight podcast, @nathanpaylor and I reflect on such questions and consider what kind of approach evangelicals ought to take towards the British political scene today (including how to overcome the strange modern evangelical anxiety about being "too political".)
I visited a garden centre today +bought “The Folk Lore of Herefordshire”, originally published 1911AD. A great memorial to old England. Here’s its entry for today, Shrove Tuesday! Modern pleasantries obscure a raucous past… (Also note what it says about valentines &Mother’s Day)
I read Christmas carol to my wife out loud every year. Every year, I’m reminded just how much adaptations have barely done justice to Dickens’ descriptions of the ghosts. So I put the text into grok, and, well… not bad
In a frankly bizarre and infuriating turn, @YouTube have restored @WatchornChurch's channel for the second time - but without warning or explanation. AND they've deleted at least two videos, including the video of Pastor Ryan being punched at Derby Pride - without any explanation
You can’t make this stuff up. @WatchornChurch has had its @YouTube channel deleted AGAIN.
I’m really sorry to keep tagging everyone - but something really peculiar is going on. Again, we now suspect foul play.
@rich_slybacon@j_bambrick@aaron_p_edwards any ideas?

Oh look, YouTube restored @WatchornChurch’s account! We suspect now it was a mass flagging attempt that failed.
Thanks so much for your support. Watch this space, we will use this kind providence to shout the name of Jesus even louder! @j_bambrick@aaron_p_edwards@rich_slybacon
Thanks so much @christiandr and @rich_slybacon - you guys had our back with the recent petition, you were the very provision of God. If we can ever return the favour never hesitate to get in touch!!

Unfortunately YouTube thinks this vid (or maybe one of the pastor punched at Pride event) to be enough to DELETE @WatchornChurch's **entire channel**. We're a con Church which holds the line on conflicts of the day. Pls help by sharing. If they do it to us, they'll do it to you.

My delivery of our response as elders at @WatchornChurch to the evil murder of Charlie Kirk and the evil that soon followed. Indeed, we must insist upon that word, now more than ever - “redeem the time, for the days are evil”.

Google has suspended Watchorn Church’s YouTube channel after sharing footage of Pastor Ryan Clarke being assaulted while preaching at a pride parade in Derbyshire. Christian Democracy UK is calling for its reinstatement.

One of the videos @YouTube possibly deleted our entire channel for.
How dare that pastor's skin interrupt that man's hand like that, how bigoted of him @aaron_p_edwards@j_bambrick
@CatherineHume10@aaron_p_edwards@YouTube That’s all right, because we spend 98% of our time evangelising to everyone else. This was a one off event.
But that shouldn’t matter. What you should be more struck by is that someone used physical violence on a pastor proclaiming the love of God.
