Meet Danish Husain who is an actor, poet, storyteller & a theatre director. He started his career in theatre with Barry John and went on to work with directors like Habib Tanvir, M.S. Sathyu, M.K. Raina, Sunil Shanbag, Sabina Mehta Jaitly, & Naseeruddin Shah. He was instrumental in reviving the lost art form of Urdu storytelling Dastangoi. Currently, he runs his own theatre company ‘The Hoshruba Repertory’ in Mumbai and his latest productions include plays Guards At The Taj (2017) and Qissa Urdu Ki Aakhiri Kitaab Ka (2017) besides the storytelling project Qissebaazi (2016), and the poetry performance project Poetrification (2016) with the fellow actor Denzil Smith. His major film work includes Soorma (2018), Newton (2017), Ankhon Dekhi (2013), Dhobi Ghat (2010), and Peepli Live (2010) and many more.

For young Kashmiri Santoor Player, Umar Majeed, "music has no boundaries. Musicians are ‘azad’.
In an exclusive interview with Awaz the Voice, Umar said that it playing traditional music was difficult but he has taken an oath to do collaborations with noted artists globally.
"It is our work and we will be of no worth without music," he said.
Umar is also seen playing various renditions on his social media platforms, which is generating huge round of applause from the listeners.
“Music is in my body and soul but there are many youth like me who have no idea of Kashmir’s folk music. Many people called me to ask what instruments we were playing in the video. They know everything about guitar and western instruments but have no idea about our own instruments,” he said.
