PM Carney tells immigrants to leave behind the feuds of their homelands:
"We don't welcome the world's hatreds"
"When you come to Canada you bring your faith, your tradition, your language, your story - you leave behind your animosities"
Look at the way Vaibhav Suryavanshi innocently touched PM Modi’s feet twice while meeting him. Also, look at the proud reaction of Vaibhav Suryavanshi’s father while talking about his hard work and journey. ❤
PM Modi’s happiness says everything about Vaibhav Suryavanshi.
A while back I took my 4-year-old to the ER because she had choked on a cashew. It was the worst choking I had ever seen without total airway blockage.
I had been on the edge of intervening, but followed my first aid training and watched and waited. She ultimately seemed to "clear" the cashew, but I was unsettled.
We had a big group of friends over that night and it was noisy. She was active and happy. But after everyone left, when it was quiet, I could hear her wheezing. She said she could feel the cashew inside of her.
I took her in to the hospital and she was seen. We were told to wait and that it would be long. After a while I asked about progress and was told the usual. There was no sense of urgency.
Eventually I took her home to sleep because she was exhausted, she wasn't being seen, she couldn't sleep upright in a chair, and there was no sign she would be seen.
This is the nature of the state-run Canadian medical system. You go into the ER, you wait, you have no clue if and when you'll be seen. If you complain or try and get any information, then surly nurses lecture you and point at the "We don't tolerate abuse," signs that are ubiquitous in government buildings in Canada.
At home I watched her all night because I was so worried.
We returned to the hospital in the morning. By this point the wheezing was far worse. This time the nurse who triaged her recognised the urgency of the matter and went immediately to get a doctor.
The cashew had broken up into pieces and she had chemical pneumonitus. Chemical pneumonitus can cause respiratory failure and death. She needed an emergency procedure to remove the semi-digested pieces of cashew which were difficult to remove because they were soft. She ended up in the pediatric Intensive Care Unit.
The doctor who did the procedure was irate about the initial failure at triage which never should have happened. But these stories are regular and predictable stories of Canadian Healthcare. I had a friend who was sent home from the hospital with VITT. He's dead now.
The press only seems to show interest when immigrants have parallel experiences that the people who built Canada have been experiencing in the system for literally decades. One of the many reasons our system is collapsing is the influx of sickly, elderly foreigners and medical tourists who I am told sometimes will take a taxi straight from the airport to the hospital.
The best strategies to surviving Canadian "health" care are to be born with good genes, to opt for private whenever possible, to use every connection you have when a problem arises, to take impeccable care of your body, and to never have accidents. Otherwise you're simply playing Russian roulette, along with everyone else who is at the hospital. All Canadians know this, they also know the system is collapsing, but when pressed, still fall back on, "At least it's not American healthcare," when pressed.
Ultimately, the Canadians who vote Liberal and NDP get the healthcare they deserve and don't have the right to complain. The rest of us are merely casualties of their decision-making, like every other systemic failure that they have created along with the managerial regime they edify.
This has always been my understanding - there is no divide between Hindus and Sikhs. It's the Khalistanis that want to drive a wedge between our community.
I learned Tabla from a Sikh here in Toronto. He taught many from our community and was the main reason why Hindustani classical music had such a profound influence on my life.
The Finance Minister can’t explain this: under Mark Carney, the deficit is set to be even higher than under Justin Trudeau.
👉 $255B added to our debt in the upcoming four years.
That’s not “generational investment.” That’s generational debt.
About 10% of Azerbaijan's GDP is based on tourism, with Indians being the third largest group of tourists to the country. Yet Azerbaijan chose to side against India in its fight against terrorism. It must be noted that the number of Indians visiting the country increased 4 times between 2022 (60,731) and 2024 (2,43,000). Pakistan is not even in the list of top 20 visitors.
This is a blot on the self-respect of Indians. Azerbaijan’s diplomatic overtures can't mask its miscalculation in antagonizing a rising nation. This is New India, where pride, unity, and sovereignty reign supreme. Let Azerbaijan and the world take note: Indians will not tolerate betrayal, and our response will echo our unwavering commitment to our nation’s honor. #BoycottTurkeyAzerbaijan

@shafqatalimp@MaretJaks Brampton is the second fastest growing population and still has only a single hospital. No surprise. Since we have mp like this who are interested in palestinian and pakistan's welfare than Canada.
@shafqatalimp@MaretJaks This is my mp from brampton and not surprising that you only do finger pointing. Hard to believe that there is no involvement of the federal govt in building new health care infrastructure and shouldn't they work closely with the provincial counterpart.
Drones have been sighted at 26 locations along the International Border and LoC with Pakistan. These include suspected armed drones. The locations include Baramulla, Srinagar, Avantipora, Nagrota, Jammu, Ferozpur, Pathankot, Fazilka, Lalgarh Jatta, Jaisalmer, Barmer, Bhuj, Kuarbet and Lakhi Nala.
Regrettably, an armed drone targeted a civilian area in Ferozpur, resulting in injuries to members of a local family. The injured have been provided medical assistance and the area has been sanitised by security forces.
The Indian Armed Forces are maintaining a high state of alert, and all such aerial threats are being tracked and engaged using counter-drone systems. The situation is under close and constant watch & prompt action is being taken wherever necessary.
Citizens, especially in border areas, are advised to remain indoors, limit unnecessary movement, and strictly follow safety instructions issued by local authorities. While there is no need for panic, heightened vigilance and precaution are essential. 🇮🇳

This song sung by Mohammed Rafi angered Pakistan. At that time, Pakistan requested the Indian government to ban the song, and the then Indian government agreed to their demand and banned it. This is a rare song — High chances that you might have never heard of it before.
