YEAR 7 ROUNDERS. It has been a great start to the rounders season for our Year 7 students. This week has seen NHGS win two friendlies - one against Trinity and one against Calder. A tremendous effort from all involved. Mrs Davis π
The U12A team competed in the Calderdale schools' netball tournament at Brighouse School this week.
With four wins and one loss in the group stage, we finished 2nd which sent us through to the semi-final where we met Crossleys again.
Members of Rock Choir and Choral Group entertained the Christmas shoppers last night at The Woolshops in Halifax. It was an evening to get everyone into the festive spirit and extra preparation for next weekβs Festival of Christmas.

What a lovely dry, warm hockey fixture at Calder for our Y9s! Nothing puts these students off. All smiles until the final whistle; unfaltering grit and determination throughout. Excellent 1-0 win, the goal set up by Ella & finished nicely by Jessie. Well done team. Mrs Davis π
Our U15 girls are now through to round 5 of the English Schools football competition, after beating Penistone Grammar 3-0. Thank you to Penistone Grammar for making the journey over, it was a great game and thank you to Arnie for refereeing.
Congratulations to the Y7 girls' football team who became County Cup Champions yesterday. They played a round-robin tournament at Leeds playing fields. It was on a 3G pitch which they had not played on as a team before so the learning curve was steep but they coped admirably!

What an amazing night it was for NHGS football last night. On home turf against Calder High, Year 8 secured a whopping 15-0 victory and Year 9s won 3-1. Fantastic performances by all!
A fantastic set of students who worked so hard for each other in the freezing cold rainy mud bath yesterday afternoon! A 5-0 victory takes them through to the fourth round of the English Schools Football competition. Well done to everyone involved. Mrs Davis β½οΈ
