The great irony is that in 1924 nobody in Congress thought a Polish name like Posobiec got a say either.

Same with Ricciardella. The Immigration Act of 1924 was written to keep more of them out.

My family Americanized the pronunciation and kept it that way, and it still took generations and intermarriage for the family to catch up to the name.

We didn’t stop being Italian-American. We became American.

Whether an immigrant assimilated is a fair question. But Posobiec skipped it and went straight to the name.

Maybe his family assimilated so completely that he mistakes the nativism his own ancestors overcame for something authentically American.

Todd Beamer's grave in Cranbury, New Jersey, is directly across from my grandparents' headstone. Before I could fathom 9/11 as a young child, I knew Todd Beamer as the "hero" who rested across from my Pop Pop. Here's a photo from my grandmother's memorial service in January 2025.

Beamer's headstone makes no mention of the untold number of lives saved and is no bigger than the hundreds of other headstones in the cemetery, and second-to-last in a line of graves that rest north to south. New York City to its north and Washington, D.C., to the south.

Todd Beamer was the best of America. We can never forget.

Twenty-five years ago, New York City was attacked by terrorists who sought to inflict unimaginable death and destruction.

Today, as we approach that anniversary, we unveiled a new memorial wall at 1 Police Plaza honoring the NYPD members who took heroic actions that day and in the months that followed. There were 23 members of the NYPD who were killed on 9/11, and we have since lost more than 469 members to illnesses connected to the rescue and recovery effort.

This wall preserves who they were and the extraordinary standard of service they left behind.

May their memories be an eternal blessing.

A few things people should understand.

1) The KGB never went away. It rebranded after 1991, just as the NKVD rebranded after Stalin. GRU still the GRU

2) Russia never stopped running active measures against the West. These are better funded, more sophisticated, and have greater ability to reach American audiences now than during the Cold War. These propaganda campaigns are amplified by Communist China, which gives them even greater reach.

3) The communists (Russians + Chinese) have a significant toehold in the conspiracy / alternative media space, from which the podcasters draw their ideas and guests. The Russians work through influence agents & paid assets (“Elizabeth Lane,” Judge Napolitano, Jeffrey Sachs, Doug MacGregor, Kiriakou), useful idiots (Mearsheimer), and trusted amplifiers (Tucker, Candace, Grayzone) to push narratives that originate with the Russian intel services into the US mainstream. They also amplify homegrown conspiracy theories that support their geopolitical interests.

4) Almost nobody in the United States understands this problem or is doing anything to counter it. This includes the US government.
