@WanderinTNo@X_DieSometimes There is some truth to "your fav is whatever you grew up with" generally speaking but my list of best pokemon games is very divorced from nostalgia andits frustrating to get lumped in.
Never been old vs new to me, pokemom has ups and downs.
@St1ka Mega Man & Bass also rules. You mentioned Zelda and Metroid. Also Goof Troop, Pocky & Rocky, Kirby Dream Course, and Mario Kart beat any multi-player games available on NES imo. Also has much better fighting games available and better side scrolling beat'em ups. Also Live A Live.
@R313NTLESS@St1ka Personally I don't know if there's a single NES platformer I'd put on the level of Donkey Kong Country 2, Yoshi's Island, and Kirby Super Star. My favorite Mega Man is 7.
I respect it though.
@ISleeepster Yes I honestly have trouble imagining almost any other nintendo console having a definitively better library than SNES and the insane rpg depth is one of the reasons.
@salty_red_mage I legitimately just think the johto games are like near the middle of the tierlist but still very good games.
It's just annoying that if you say a slightly negative thing about them 100s of nerds come out to say "um you don't understand game design, skill issue, gen z is cooked"
@Mxltibxjablxst Turn based rpg difficulty is inherently knowledge check. It will always become easy if you know the counters, no matter what game it is.
@Paulbagnot Restricted legendaries and 'common' legendaries have different design trends. Miraidon is more or less in line with like Mewtwo, Ho-oh, Kyogre, Solgaleo, and Yveltal I think and Articuno is fairly in line with Entei, Heatran, Coballion, Regieleki, and Walking Wake.
Tldr: I agree
@pkmncntr In general I feel like bw2 takes the concept of what gsc wanted to be (a continuation rather than a disconnected new entry) but handles it much better. Good gameplay and an interesting climax.
