It took brave testimonies from personnel within the force, prudent probe by the investigating agencies, family and friends who stood by the prosecution and did not turn hostile, even a deposition from a deaf man to ensure this justice.

The police picked up a man just for hearing from a third party that he spoke ill about them, brutally assaulted him and his son who went to the station to question their act and jailed them by foisting a false case, and destroyed evidences.

To quote the Judge, "It is not the first case in Indian history, nor will it be the last."
