It was so much fun chatting with @veritasium about the principle of least action! And what a great video Derek and his team made. Hope you enjoy it! https://t.co/WkMIrEbZ9t
Exciting Postdoc Opportunity! 🌟🌊🌏
Research fellow position at @UniMelb to study the ocean's role in climate variability. You'll be working with myself, @Nicola__Maher, and @hogg_andy and also interacting with the ocean team from the @ClimateMachine.

Job opportunity: We are recruiting a Research Fellow in Tropical Climate Variability.
Working with @JosephineRBrown at @UniMelb, this role will research climate variability in observations and models, focusing on tropical Australia.
Closes Fri 15 Nov.

Come do a postdoc at ANU as part of the ARC Centre for Weather of the 21st Century looking at how small-scale processes in the ocean and atmosphere set the larger scale variability and mean-state: https://t.co/Ba1SPWpyJ8
A new paper by @ClimateMachine lead by Simone that introduces a new advection scheme for ocean models.
The new WENO-based scheme provides implicit dissipation and thereby avoids the need for an additional explicit dissipation (and therefore the tuning of extra free parameters)!
