President @CyrilRamaphosa Why is one of the biggest financial decisions in South Africa’s democratic history being done so quietly and in secret?
We’re talking about R84 billion in public assets, R140 billion in new borrowing and billions more in potential taxpayer funds)
No proper national debate. No real public consultation.
South Africans deserve transparency. What are you hiding with this @Eskom_SA Transmission restructuring?
IN CORPORATE SOUTH AFRICA, WHO GETS PRESUMED GREEDY, AND WHO GETS PRESUMED CAPABLE?
Two newly appointed CEOs. One was denied the competence framing altogether and became the face of exorbitant pay. The other received the competence framing by default, and his far larger potential payout is carefully labelled an incentive structure.
I unpack why in the piece below.
Let me know your thoughts.

An American woman living in South Africa says she's been pleasantly surprised by the way many South African men approach women. She praises their respectful demeanor, saying it's a refreshing contrast to the harassment and catcalling she often experienced in the United States.
Minister @mmkubayi confirms:
Of the 53,449 foreign nationals processed for deportation and repatriation, approximately 80% are Malawian, with Zimbabweans and Mozambicans making up most of the rest. Only 2,615 are from outside SADC.
Whereas we note this small progress and hope should yield the much needed jobs for SouthAfricans, but these are overwhelmingly poverty stricken, undocumented people handled through voluntary and administrative channels.
What about the organised syndicates behind drug trafficking, cybercrime, human trafficking, illegal firearms & ammunition, the distribution of contaminated food that kill our children, and the networks that distribute fake and counterfeit products.??????
Government's own statistics show enforcement is targeting what is easiest, not what poses the greatest threat to public safety.
The South African public needs to feel safe in all respects.
Please lift your game Ministers. @Prof_Cachalia@Leon_Schreib@RonaldLamola

Acting Justice of the Constitutional Court Tembeka Ngcukaitobi, uJola, explaining his choice to keep his hair natural and uncombed. The man singlehandedly revolutionized the courts to recognize his Africanness. Huge respect for him.
My other adult son got a job now recently at a factory in Silverton, thanks to #MarchandMarch. Although he gets paid much less than Amapanyaza, he has decided to takeover the prepaid electricity bill at home. But now he switches off the geyser when he goes to work and on when he is back.
@achilles_X_ Did you know that "amaZulu", the people known as "Zulu" predate all of them. "iZulu" in English means "sky/heaven". Zulu people are called amaZulu (people of heaven/the sky), their homeland in South Eastern Africa is called KwaZulu (place of heaven). Short story, God is eZulwini.
Not you trying to malign a CEO who actually keeps the lights on, while periodically shoving down our throats Andre de Ruyter, a CEO who couldn’t, as some White Saviour we lost. Very good salary for a tough job. Public sector salaries must match up with private sector for specialised management talent. The public sector often loses good people to the private sector.
Keep at it, Bra Dan. Grateful for you.
Pastor Loran Livingston:
The USA has never been a Christian nation.
A Christian nation would never have killed and displaced 20 million Native Americans who are still left out and living in poverty.
A Christian nation would never have thought that owning slaves was pleasing to God, or that it lined up with Scripture in any way, shape, or size.
And we not only practiced it, but we were so obsessed with it that we went to war about it. We had a civil war. And in that civil war, 500 000 Americans died.
That's more than Americans that died in World War II or any other war we've ever had, our own civil war.
We killed 500 000 of our own people so people could have the right to own other people as property.
Update: The man who was wanted in the UK, in connection with the deaths of his wife and 2 children, has just been arrested. In South Africa. Some of you were offended when I said "From Zim it is easy to move to other SADC countries." I said that, not for the reasons some of you were accusing me of. I was calling for regional co-operation because borders are porous. Justice for Zandile! Justice for Natalie! Justice for Nala. May they rest in peace. ❤️ 💔
