وأخيرًا عرفنا سبب العطل في أنظمة المراقبة الجوية البريطانية..

بحسب FT، طاقم طائرة عسكرية بريطانية أدخلوا بيانات خاطئة في خطة رحلتهم، مما تسبب بانهيار كامل لنظام تخطيط الرحلات في بريطانيا.

تسبب ذلك بإلغاء أكثر من 2,000 رحلة خلال الأيام الماضية في المطارات البريطانية، وتضرر من ذلك أكثر من 300 ألف مسافر.

المسافرين المتضررين من المحتمل أنهم لن يحصلوا على أى تعويضات، حيث قد يعتبر هذا العطل حدث استثنائي ويصنف ضمن القوة القاهرة.

اللافت أن سبب هذا العطل مشابه إلى حد ما للعطل الذي واجهته أنظمة تخطيط الرحلات في بريطانيا عام 2023.

The Air Traffic Control failure that caused widespread flight chaos in the UK earlier this week was caused by a single military aircraft entering "spurious" flight data, according to reports.

Four people briefed on Tuesday's incident reportedly said the flight plan submitted by the aircraft triggered the series of events that led to chaos at airports across the UK, including Heathrow, Gatwick, Stansted, Manchester, and Birmingham.

More than 2,000 flights were cancelled within three days with UK Transport Secretary Heidi Alexander telling the House of Commons she believed the outage was avoidable.
