@goddy204 rhodey's plan wouldn't even work. they literally state that they can't change the past, so they would've just wasted their particles. they needed the stones to reverse the snap; murdering baby thanos is just revenge that they already got by killing their timeline's thanos
@aroaceparker i mean there's also the fact that the only person that could break it wasn't going to do it (she only agrees when it's clear that the guy is going to die anyway), so they kinda had to do plan b.
@zcativ@BALUCIAGA trinity syndrome is for a guy that knows nothing about the situation being a 'chosen one' that the more qualified woman has to be subservient to. the rat is clearly mentioned to be talented because he practices the craft, and if he were a human, he'd probably work professionally
@TheMediaGuyYT@BALUCIAGA i mean the matrix and kung fu panda do fall into this trope. it's just that this doesn't really apply to ratatouille, where the main theme of the movie is that good cooks can be found anywhere by those who care about the art
@scarletsarchive i'd say this is way more hope van dyne than it is natasha; hope literally gets gatekept from the ant-man suit despite being way more skilled than scott and also having cross's complete trust
@trl_umisama colonel phillips unironically the funniest character in all of the captain america movies. the delivery of the line 'the best men' will never be topped. peak humour.
@inkyspotz@trl_umisama a lot of the scientists on the project have very similar circumstances, and probably were a basis for erskine's backstory (lots of scientists fled germany, specifically quantum physicists who were actually barred from other fields due to antisemitism)
@trl_umisama@inkyspotz yeah, captain america is one of the most political figures in comics, especially at the time of his publication. everything about his origin and his creator was purposeful
@inkyspotz@trl_umisama he has a conversation with steve in tfa where he talks about fleeing germany due to antisemitism ๐ญ๐ญ the concept of steve as a redemptive action is interesting, but not for erskine (like, ever)
@sbnsprng i mean it's still working for the government; sam working for the government is one the things that isaiah disagrees with him on. joaquin is a ranked military officer; just because sam's doing his own thing doesn't change that he's military
