Congratulations to the Hempfield Area Hockey team for finishing the regular season with a 17-3 record (tied with Armstrong with 50 points), winning the PIHL Class 2A Section Championship, and earning the #1 seed in the upcoming Penguins Cup Playoffs!
Cam came to us three years ago as a slapper/ line drive hitter. We hate slapping. We make no secret about that. Because a lot of girls that slap around here simply aren’t fast enough to be slappers when it matters. So teaching them to slap is just a Band-Aid unless you have truly elite speed. So while we were cool with Cam continuing to slap, we also knew we had to increase how she sequenced as a hitter in case she didn’t project as a slapper in college. And so Cam’s routine at PVS has always included disassociation between lower and upper halves as well as tried and true connection and direction work. What really helped Cam in the last year has been the RYLEE program. Cam has boosted her rotational power scores considerably training for Rate of Force Development from a dead stop. This is a severely neglected part of training in most school / team settings. She has been exposed to this in both a team settings as part of @teampahall@TPAKowalski which trained at PVS in 2024& 2025 and as a PVS RYLEE athlete. This brings us to Sophomore @Giuliana_F2028 . GIULIANA (@OhioOutlaws) has designs on playing at a major college softball program. With this in mind, we immediately told her what those numbers need to look like and she began to train for them. She has had the biggest off-season of any athlete, male or female at PVS this year. I rotational power scores are already equal to cams, even though she’s only a sophomore in high school.
Our last example is perhaps the most impressive. In a post yesterday, we mentioned how we built the Raider program from the age of about nine. So despite only being 13 years old, Greyson has already been in this gym for four years. With a birthday that suggests he should be in seventh grade- Greyson is in eighth grade at @SouthFayetteSD and he already has numbers consistent with a top end varsity baseball player. Given that Greyson is swinging a BBcor bat in this example🎥⤵️he is displaying a rotational power G score more consistent with that of a player 4-6 years older than he is now. This kind of score is possible because we started with Swing mechanics when he was nine/ emphasize training over winning meetings weekend tournaments …. And in the last year, we have added physical strength, power and speed components described above with Cameron, but scaled to a male baseball player. Greyson is by far one of our more consistent PVS athletes. He is in the gym 3 to 4 times a week… compound that over several years with a training environment where his peers (Raiders) support him ….and this is how you get his numbers where they are.
In conclusion- having context with your posts and metrics that coaches can use to value what you do compared to others -is a good idea
When posting about yourself, here are two good ideas.
1️⃣Don’t post every workout
2️⃣Add context. Who are you hitting against in the game footage? If you’re hitting against a machine….what are the RPMs? And what is the velocity?
Lastly, It’s better when other people post about you.
In the meantime, go ahead and get yourself a @blastmotion or @DiamondKinetics sensor and see what your rotational acceleration score is.

Thought Aiden and Parker might want to connect. Aiden is from a HS up in Pgh and Parker from my college baseball team. You both inspirations to us all. Congrats on your first hits. ⚾️
