FFXIV is live on Switch 2, so I went straight for the worst case scenario. Handheld, on WiFi, no docked connection, no ethernet.

If an MMO is going to fall apart, it falls apart here.

It didn't. Half an hour walking around outdoors, no lag, no stutter. The latency I expected to be the dealbreaker simply wasn't.

Anyone can tell you it runs fine wired to a TV. The question worth asking is whether it survives the setup most people will actually use on a handheld, and so far it does.
