I’m pro-science, vax injured from 1 Pfiz 1/27/21. Nearly recovered now, 3 NVX with no issues. Still masking in public spaces. Still trying to avoid the plague.

My story: On 1/27/21 I was over the moon to be one of the first people in my town to receive the Pf Covid vaccine. Within 10 min I knew something was wrong. I felt it spreading through my arm to my brain and became immediately lightheaded and thought I was going to pass out.

That being said, side effects still happen no matter what and everyone has to do what they feel is best for them. Wishing you the absolute best.

In the meantime, I decided to take NVX given my risk for LC. It was 💯 the right decision for me and I’m grateful for the non MRNA option.

@plagueprose Pretty standard vax reaction, sore arm and achy. Went for a big hike the next day and all good. I am so grateful for Novavax (this was my 4th). Especially after experiencing severe side effects from Pfizer.

24h after my Novavax COVID shot (and flu shot), and very happy. Much milder side effects than my 5 earlier COVID vaccines.

It's just my experience of course, but I'm hopeful we may finally have a sustainable and acceptable format for annual vaccinations.

It seems hyperbolic. I am injured as well and am unbelievably grateful that NVX exists. It is a highly effective vax with fewer side effects.

@krazykitkatm @flappy_psy_bird @gemcarey @Justanewsletter You have to also understand that 1 in 100,000 is likely inflated for NVX bc there were farrrr fewer doses given than mRNA (100,000’s vs millions). In the trials, there was no difference in myocard rts bw the control and vaccinated groups.
