@robertvodicka47@NerdNumbers@boxscorebrian@wagesofwins I am late for this, and not sure if you are serious. I could build some software at market rates for sure, but I wouldn't want to own the whole "maintain a site, create content for it, pay the hosting fees, etc" part.
@tigt_@estellevw I am curious if you've tried any of this -- it is something we looked into a lot at Rover to get a "performance bounce rate", but I ended up leaving before we implemented it. Any success stories?
In short: Right now NFT's are built on an absolute house of cards constructed by the people selling them.
It is likely that _every_ NFT sold so far will be broken within a decade.
Will that make them worthless? Hard to say
@Clintonite33 I saw a lot of people mentioning that they'd never even heard the slur he used. Now stop and think about what kind of person has done the research to add a slur like that to their vocabulary.
What's this, deserving players will be left off the all-star team? Let's not Pikachu-face here. 2021 is going to be a year of many "firsts", but this is not going to be one of them.
HaHaHaHaHa. I am a mediocre athlete who has had the privilege of playing pick up ball with pro basketball players of both genders, so I can say with complete certainty that Snider is full of it.
@KeraBirk@RepAStoddard@jenforutah Rep. Snider says he was a mediocre high school athlete, but would have qualified for women's Olympic trials. He says Utah has to recognize "there are differences between men and women" & allowing transgender kids to participate would limit opportunities for women #utpol#utleg
I will confidently claim that picking Dr Oz to host Jeopardy is one of the stupidest business decisions of all time. It might very well beat out New Coke. It’s insane how much goodwill this will destroy.
The All-Star Game is a wholly unnecessary risk. Name an All-Star team, make the donations to HBCU anyway, let players have a week to breathe, don't bring people from 15-20 different places to one and then back out. Kinda can't believe this is a thing.
Infuriating that this culminated in a shutdown of the vaccination site, even a temporary one, rather than the swift arrest and detention of the people who blocked access to it. https://t.co/K411KthHzj
At our current pace, it would take a year to vaccinate 80% of the country, assuming a 2-dose vaccine. (I'd expect the pace will keep improving.)
But 3m shots/day seems like a useful benchmark. At that pace, you could give 80% of the country a one-dose booster shot w/in 3 months.
@rob_dodson@csswizardry It means further that google’s “field data” is based entirely on data from those users who use Chrome. Google uses both field data (actual users) and lab data (crawlers) for measuring your site’s performance
@rob_dodson@csswizardry The crawler uses Chromium, since non-chrome browsers do not fire the events for measuring core vitals. This means if you want to measure your actual user’s core vitals, you can’t do it on iOS safari
This is about the third such story I have heard. It will not be long before stories turn more tragic and we start to hear about failures where the vaccines expire un-administered. We should be acting with this sense of urgency 24/7.
Hundreds of local people raced to Swedish Medical Center and the University of Washington in the middle of the night to get a COVID shot after a vaccine emergency caused by a freezer failure at a local community hospital.

In other words, we should be vaccinated with an intense urgency that reflects the fact that getting people vaccinated earlier would, in actual fact, save lots of lives.
