@YankeeLibrarian They also ran into a juggernaut Astros team in 19. Not sure what the advanced stats say but I think the 19 team was better than 24. They won 100 games in 18, but still felt terrible because they weren't as good as that Sox team. Timing is everything, hopefully the AL stays weak.
@upzonenj@harrisonfinberg Have you spent time in downtown Manasquan or the adjacent park/bike path in the past 5 years? It has a ton of young people (I am one of them). There are also a ton of old people who live in the 55+ communities around there. The “missing middle” is 45-60 year olds
@upzonenj@harrisonfinberg Monmouth has been moving a lot younger since COVID. Have you walked around Red Bank, Asbury, Belmar, or Squan recently? Even in the offseason these towns feel a lot younger than the train line suburbs in North Jersey
@upzonenj@Tkeane897 The bridge is a bottleneck because of all the truck traffic getting off in Bayonne though. Sensible expansion. Would be great to see the light rail one day cross the Newark Bay
@upzonenj The Jersey Shore is so much further from NYC than Miami Beach or Santa Monica are to Miami or LA. The only cities that could handle serious development are LB and Asbury both of which have plenty of high rises. Belmar and Squan are also building apartments by their NJT stations
@paulsen_smw @Zone_NHL Any reason they are holding off announcing NHL game times for this coming weekend? Nothing is going to change, there are no game 5s or later for the NHL or NBA until next week
@paulsen_smw Thanks, that makes sense. Would have to think that they would need the Bruins to close it out tonight too in order to start the series Saturday (Unless they want to do 3:30 Saturday, which is even tighter)
