Ambassador Tech/Market. Work on combined service & networking payloads & their orchestration, DNS, IPv6. Keen to learn, know & push forward. Views purely mine.
@plankers@Lost_Signal what do you try to achieve? what is the system you plugged them into? how many cards are you trying to use at the sam time in the same system? how large - or more importantly how small - are the packets? do you use specific drivers for the card?
@arrcusinc I am also wondering, if there are new TIP OOTP agenda items regarding optical channel management across network elements in Open Optical Transport Systems, no matter if the to be configured channels come from pluggables in routers or from classic WDM transponders?
@arrcusinc Hi, i am wondering where ArcOS is in regards to
a) implementing EVPN-VPWS service over SRv6
b) supporting 800G Qumran and Jericho Merchant Silicon
c) info (maybe github repo) with a list of what's already implemented for/from SRv6 based EVPN and the uSID / C-SID draft?
@0xdade That's, becasue we're still doing LLM v1.0 aka. Large Lousy Models. Maybe fine tuned by folks getting paid to prefer implementing corporate interests over fact based models of the world: Hooray, be now can fine tune fakeness. Daily gets harder to shed internet fake from real.
@brkohn@amelia7no Here some more options, explicitly also offering interesting variatons of the graphical design surrounding letter "o": Rope, Pope, Dope, Mope and Tope ;-)
@FVEE_de@KITKarlsruhe Well, was looking for strategy papers on heat energy storage on https://t.co/wlEdu94VDl… Happy if you can kindly point me at newer strategy/roadmap docs than 2014's https://t.co/VkBaHmj9hN… and 2015's https://t.co/S0oAKn6MpK
@MarvellTech Cool stuff. How much Power does the pluggable need per port? Can it run reduced power modes based on bandwidth/modulation (reach) configuration?
@tbourke IMHO risk-averseness, entangled tech processes, lack of entrepreneurial mindset. Irrational splits of responsibilities hides information & hampers truely customer oriented action. Market units fear loss of old contracts & deny updated tech wins in tandem with controlling.
@StephenH_editor Dear Stephen, do you happen to know any other vendor doing PIC components for pluggable transceiver modules who create sub-channels within WDM channels - similar to what Infinera has been presenting since 2019?
@DO9XE @flexOptix Pah, still Gen 3 Box.... ;-)
Seriously: Some cut-off number must exist, where cost of your work to personalize pluggables is higher than sourcing pre-configured ones...
@flexoptix benchmark game: What's the all-time record of customizations per hour of an employe on 1 FlexBox?
@scott_lowe@eyepv6 No, No, No - its more often
a) people who don't know much of DNS, yet still mean they should implement one. And they DO!
b) people proving to you they can type DIG on a shell - yet also prove to not know how to query what, from where to where, or via their screwed up network.
@scott_lowe From a lengthy track record of running varied dockerized combos of resolvers, auth masters, auth slaves, with bgp announcers as anycast service instances, i conclude that the Docker internal DNS handling is ... err - a great "guarantor of surprises" at quite improper times :-)
@g__j I guess a full magnitude better is to refuel in less than 3 minutes just swapping an empty energy storage for a full one. Modular, push-button automated, few different standard size of energy containers, exchangeable between all mass market vehicle vendors. 4now ignore luxus cars
