@ninaksimon One interesting things is that online audiences should be segmented differently. Time-zones and language are factors not just 'country'- i.e. 'American audiences'.

@DougSaunders Ok that makes sense. So we should presume that high number of hospital deaths are due to inadequate resources here in Spain? So far the narrative is that the health system (always lauded as excellent) is strained but managing.

@DougSaunders Yes but Germany is the outlier. Spain similar to France and Italy, better than UK. Still more deaths per pop. Bars and restaurants were shut down from the start. So volume of tourists? (France comparable). How are deaths prevented from contact tracing?

@therealyotung @DougSaunders @JulieLBartlett Spain was as fast or as slow as everywhere else to respond. And faster than UK. Lockdown (Day 37) still doesn't allow exercise or going out in parks/beach etc unlike UK and Germany. What bad behaviour have we exhibited?

@elpaisinenglish NOTHING MAKES SENSE. Who is getting infected? How? Why can we not even go outside for walks? How do these rates compare to other countries? Why are more people dying here per population than anywhere else? Why are reporters not digging deeper than official statements?

@simoninmadrid Hmm. Seems not so long ago people were touting the longevity and health of Spain's population and exceptional health system. And we were no worse in early detection than France/UK/US. And France similar culture and density. And testing doesn't impact number not % of deaths...

@simoninmadrid I really worry about the police having the capacity to understand their job right now is to help make people be and feel safe- not enforce 'punishment' for breaking 'the rules'. Here in BCN the police are also being really aggressive.

@designindaba Looks exciting. Do you have timings anywhere? What time does the conference start? Finish? What time are all the sessions? Very hard to plan around without this info!
