Honored to stand with @TheRealANCOR, who helped us put human faces on Republicans' disastrous Medicaid cuts this year. Their advocacy for disability rights is critical to our work towards achieving quality, affordable health care for every single American.
People realize that if provider taxes are capped, this means that state Medicaid programs will have to cut non-essential programs like Medicaid waivers and home care programs, which is not an entitlement.
The folks who work hard, play by the rules & ask for nothing more than a fair shot do have lobbyists in DC. AND these folks are advocating for themselves! Trump & the GOP are not listening to them! This bill will ruin their lives and so many more.
Call your representative now!

‘17 million Americans would lose health care under Trump plan’
‘Poorest Americans dealt biggest blow’
‘Work requirements have mostly failed. GOP is still pushing them.’
INBOX: Archbishop Timothy P. Broglio, head of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, is urging lawmakers to change the GOP-led “Big, Beautiful Bill” budget proposal, citing Pope Leo to argue that the bill “takes from the poor to give to the wealthy.”
NEW CBO ANALYSIS of the GOP'S reconciliation package:
"CBO estimates that if the legislation was enacted, U.S. households, on average, would see an increase in the resources available to them over the 2026– 2034 period. The changes would not be evenly distributed among households. The agency estimates that in general, resources would decrease for households toward the bottom of the income distribution, whereas resources would increase for households in the middle and top of the income distribution."

GOP Sen. Shelley Moore Capito of WV told me there is "a lot of concern" among her constituents about cuts to Medicaid in House bill. Said she heard concerns at meetings over recess.
Also said: “We haven't had a chance to digest how it's going to impact our hospitals.”
A whopping 76 percent oppose significant cuts to Medicaid.
The tax bill that Republicans ultimately pass — public opinion be damned — will make life more difficult for millions of low-income Americans.

Beyond SALT, Republicans voting for this Budget Bill are voting for noticeable impacts on their voters:
* increased cost-sharing in Medicaid
* increased costs for those buying coverage on the marketplaces
* increased paperwork burdens for both
* cuts to their local health system.
The #OneBigBeautifulBill with the biggest cuts to #Medicaid in history:
* Bill introed Sun 10pm
* Bill debated in E&C Committee starting at Wed 1am
* Bill passed Budget Committee Sun 10pm
* Bill scheduled for Rules Committee Wed 1am
They don't want this bill in the light of day.
One inconvenient development for Republicans today:
According to JCT, the reconciliation bill would effectively lower taxes for millionaires by 3% and *raise* taxes for people making less than $15,000 by 1%.
All while 8.6 million lose Medicaid coverage.
