@jamesamarcus @BoylanRoger Fascinating stuff. For a reader unacquainted with Italian ,the first translation is the 'true' copy. I still cherish Rosenthal's translation of 'The Periodic Table' even though Goldstein's translation (in Collected Works), might be more 'faithful'.
