@livmarshalluk@CrossCountryUK This happens every day! I commute via Manchester to Birmingham nearly every day. The trains are more crowded than many rush hour tube trains. Why can’t @CrossCountryUK have longer trains more frequently?!
@Keir_Starmer as a regular commuter from Birmingham New Street to Manchester, I’m getting rather tired of the crowds swarming to board my train north, while the London train on the adjacent platform is practically empty. And the northern leg of HS2 was cancelled why exactly?
@Ryanair why can’t I check my partner and our infant in? Waited for ages for live chat only to be cut off. Tried in app, on mobile web, on desktop. Nothing works and no help!!! I even managed to check in our ‘extra seat’ for the infant, but not my actual infant. Can you help?!
Oops. Just now I stupidly booked a @TravelodgeUK for tonight when I meant to book it for tomorrow. Realised my mistake immediately and quite disappointed there is no way to cancel or amend….!
@CrossCountryUK lovely time on 18:01 from BIR to MAN. So busy I can’t get anywhere near my seat. Why can’t you meet the capacity demand? I do this journey many times a week and it’s like this all the time.
Wonderful news to share ahead of Christmas!

Our fantastic leader, @RobertoRuisi, will be joining us as soloist this Thursday, performing Stravinsky’s Violin Concerto 🫶
Here’s a sneak peek of what’s in store 🤫👀
@TPExpressTrains@IEJGov I echo the views of other rail users here. Short formed carriages, coupled with the majority of services cancelled on the Man-HUD line make a mockery of your lip-service support for inclusivity.
Witherslack, one of the UK’s biggest private providers of children’s homes and special schools, was quietly taken over by an Abu Dhabi sovereign wealth fund for almost £600 million last year. A🧵about why the UK's children in care are now big business for international investors.
