FIFA revealed forensic evidence showing clear document tampering.

They even highlighted the altered sections in red - including the original birth records of the seven players’ ancestors.

FIFA also called on Malaysia, as well as Argentina, Spain, Brazil and the Netherlands, to investigate and take action. That demand was reported globally.

All seven players told FIFA their documents were forged after they handed them to an agent. And making things worse, the FAM Secretary-General gave FIFA a written statement admitting that FAM staff had indeed modified the documents.

His statement said that FAM personnel reformatted and altered certain birth certificates and supporting papers while compiling the eligibility files, and that these changes were not a substitute for certified or official documents, nor allowed as any form of official verification.

Yet the Madani Home Minister — the one in charge of JPN, citizenship, immigration and the police — told Parliament that no document forgery occurred.

And PMX has not said a single word about this scandal, even though it has been global news for two months.

So much for good governance.
