Our CHP Youth Vice President, Melis Asya Bozali, attended the Young European Socialists Presidium & Network Coordinators Meeting held in Vilnius between 10–12 April, in her role as Democracy and Fight Against Right-Wing Extremism Network Coordinator.

In this meeting, where CHP Youth assumed such a role within YES for the first time in many years, we exchanged ideas on strengthening democratic values and advancing joint efforts.

PEOPLE’S WILL HELD CAPTIVE FOR 1 YEAR!

Ekrem İmamoğlu, presidential candidate of CHP and Mayor of Istanbul, was unlawfully imprisoned one year ago, just one day after his 31-year-old university diploma was revoked and only days before he was to be elected as a presidential candidate.
Simply because he won, he faced a prison sentence of up to 2,352 years.

For one year, Türkiye has been facing a coup against the people’s will.
Dozens of mayors, politicians, and young people have been imprisoned.
Neither were their voices silenced,
nor were they intimidated.

For one year, across every corner of Türkiye, the struggle for justice and democracy has not taken a single step back.

Do whatever you want, you will not be able to stop it!
