Suga and Severance Hospital Launch Specialized Center to Support Children with Autism Through Music and Innovative Therapies
Severance Hospital and BTS’s Suga are creating the ‘Min Yoon-ki Treatment Center’ to help children and teens with autism by providing long-term specialized therapies, including social skills training using music, ABA, and speech therapy. Suga donated 5 billion won—the largest donation ever made by an artist—to support this project and has been actively involved in developing and applying the ‘MIND’ program, which uses music to improve emotional expression and social interaction. The center, opening in September, plans to expand its programs and promote clinical research to prove the program’s effectiveness. Professor Chun Geun-ah appreciates Suga’s volunteer dedication and emphasizes the goal of helping children grow into independent, healthy members of society while reducing prejudice and raising awareness about autism. Suga shares that music is a powerful way to express emotions and pledges to continue supporting these children for their full integration into society.
