Wonderful to announce a new service for people with EDs. Thanks to @DrNiamhMcNamara for developing this program, and researching and supporting our work for so many years. @MaryButlerTD@NCP_ED
It was such an incredible event, I so impressed with the dedication, enthusiasm and resilience of our specialist eating disorder teams. The theme ‘collaboration and innovation’ they delivered great evidence of this! Well done everyone @MaryButlerTD@hse_ymh@CcoHse, @DrMClifford
Autism and eating disorders - a very common situation. Jenny and I think through how the New Maudsley Carer Skills can help you support an autistic person who has an ED. Where do they cross over? Most commonly in 3 areas: high anxiety, rigidity and emotional dysregulation @NCP_ED
Very impressed by the concept of ‘recovery’ that Bodywhys holds with regard to eating disorders on their volunteer training today. Shows immense understanding of the illness. Don’t forget to direct service users/colleagues towards their fantastic resources. @bodywhys@NCP_ED
Dr Michelle Clifford and HSE clinicians in Eating Disorders at ED Hub Network Day. Important work done by @NCP_ED to increase capacity during the pandemic in response to increase in presentations with continued focus on training, developing and supporting a skilled workforce.
