After 5 weeks out of session — and with countless challenges facing our country — House Republicans' very first order of business?
A bill delaying protections for the North Atlantic right whale.
Seriously.
The following 3 House Republicans are currently being accused of assault or sexual harassment:
Cory Mills
Chuck Edwards
Max Miller
Are you going to call for their resignations, @GOP?
ICE tackle U.S. citizen—shoot him with taser after already pinned to ground.
4 agents hold the man face down—while 5th agent tazed him in the back.
Another agent points a weapon at a witness.
"Don't point that at me again," man says.
"I don't feel safe," agent yells back. "It's whatever I say—Get back!"
The man detained was a community volunteer with VC Defensa.
Incident occurred in an area open to the public at the Ventura County Government Center in Ventura, California.
This is really stupid, and it’s not getting enough attention.
The Trump administration is pulling a working $368 million ocean monitoring system out of the water, equipment taxpayers already bought, built, and sank into the deep ocean.
And they are doing it right when the oceans are behaving in ways that alarm the scientists who study them.
Record-breaking temperatures.
A system of Atlantic currents that may be lurching toward collapse.
The response?
Yank out the instruments and walk away.
That is not budgeting. That is smashing the gauges while the engine is on fire and calling it efficiency.
For what? The Trump administration dressed it up as a “nimbler approach” and “smart lifecycle management,” which is fancy nonsense for “we shut it off and hoped nobody would ask why.” There is no return-on-investment analysis. They cannot show taxpayers save a dime, because the gear is already paid for and the science it produces protects real money and real lives.
The kicker: the same people killing the monitors want to mine the deep sea for minerals. So they are destroying the only tools that could measure what that mining does. That is not an accident.
That is the point. You cannot see the damage if you break the instruments first.

ABSOLUTELY FUCKING REPULSIVE THAT PETE HEGSETH REMOVED COLIN POWELLS NAME FROM A LIST OF NOTABLE AMERICANS BURIED AT ARLINGTON CEMETERY 🤬 HE ALSO REMOVED THE NAMES OF EVERY PERSON OF COLOR AND EVERY SINGLE WOMAN ON THE SAME LIST 🤬ONLY WHITE MEN WERE LEFT IN PLACE 🤬
SO PLEASE TELL US ONE MORE TIME HOW THE TRUMP ADMINISTRATION RESPECTS AMERICAS FALLEN HEROES 🤬
Buttigieg on Sean Duffy: "I love roadtrips. I love America. I actually took a taxpayer-funded roadtrip lasted about 7 months. It was in Afghanistan. This is something very different. To make roadtrips unaffordable and then go around celebrating your own roadtrip is actually what people are so frustrated about."
In Louisiana all hell is breaking loose because of the map redistricting and while Senator Gary Carter’s microphone is cut off intentionally Republican Senator Jay Morris stands up and walks over to some people in the chamber and looks at the black man and says “Shut up boy””
REP. @aftynbehn4tn: “Well, that concludes our 250 year 🇺🇸 experiment, because Grandma Gone Wild @MarshaBlackburn decided to eliminate the last Democratically held seat in Tennessee, in MEMPHIS, where 65% of the constituents are Black. We need international attention on this.”
🔴PAY ATTENTION: The Governor of Louisiana is declaring an emergency to cancel an ongoing election so that his party can rig the rules moving forward. This is not just about redistricting... https://t.co/xIxoNJ75O1
RFK Jr has cut Alzheimers research.
Alzheimers.
One of the most devastating, urgent and increasing health problems we face today.
He's not interested.
He's a nasty piece of work.
In case anyone isn’t aware, Trump is demanding Zambia to hand over its mineral rights by end of day tomorrow or the U.S. gov’t will cut off the country’s access to the AIDS medications that are literally keeping its citizens alive.
Just thought y’all should know.
🚨BREAKING: Newly obtained documents show a clear paper trail of Trump administration officials planning to share sensitive voter data with an outside political group trying to overturn elections, as part of a secret agreement. https://t.co/ehhCCzys1D
ALERT: Scott MacFarlane reveals new court filings showing Trump may receive a taxpayer-funded payout from his IRS lawsuit — while the DOJ also moves to return taxpayer money to pardoned January 6 defendants.
Your tax dollars could be going directly to Trump and those involved in the Capitol attack.
Children in Lubbock, Texas were admitted to the hospital with liver damage. Not from measles. From vitamin A toxicity — because their parents followed RFK Jr.’s advice and gave them cod liver oil to treat measles. He is the sitting U.S. Secretary of Health and Human Services.
This is not the first time this has happened. In 2019, RFK Jr. traveled to Samoa and ran the same anti-vaccine campaign.
Vaccination rates dropped to 31%. Five months later: 5,700 cases. 83 dead. Most of them children under 4. He called it a “natural experiment.” The Senate confirmed him as HHS Secretary anyway. https://t.co/IIFqMOobvW

We are seven months away from the most consequential midterm election in the history of the United States. Meanwhile, we are fighting a war. These are the structural conditions for a coup attempt in which a president tries to nullify elections and take permanent power as a dictator. If we see this, we can stop it, overcome the movement that brought us to this point, and make a turn towards something better.

Pete Hegseth is recklessly firing some of our most dedicated military leaders.
These are folks with hundreds of years of combined experience, being pushed out with no notice.
Hegseth’s political purges are endangering our national security.
Hegseth fired the Army Chief of Staff Gen Randy George. Immediately.
Gen George probably the best leader I’ve encountered in uniform. Integrity. Experienced combat leader. Solid judgement. Courage. Modesty. Takes care of soldiers. A war going on.
