My latest piece, for the History News Network - why sending federal troops into US cities is a 2nd Amendment Issue.
I've written a bunch of op-eds and the like over the years. This is my best one yet.

#OnThisDay in 1834, the Marquis de Lafayette died in Paris.
"The Marquis: Lafayette Reconsidered" by Laura Auricchio accurately treads in the footsteps of Lafayette, from his early years in America to his place at the forefront of French politics.

@data_depot Speaking as a professor whose parents are not academics, but who has three uncles who became professors, I suspect the highly-educated-families thing goes even further.
If Trump wants boots on the ground in Iran, he should deploy the ICE agents. They've spent months in American cities strutting around like elite military forces. Let’s see how brave and courageous they really are. They can even wear their masks. Now is the time. #FreeIran#ICE
@milesintransit1 It's... kind of hard to do all the things you've done here, though I can see how each step made sense.
(What there's no way you would have known, though, is that it's probably easier to go past Olympic and change at Kowloon, rather than at Tsing Yi).

Second-fewest for a team in the Super Bowl this century.
Only the Chiefs (23 yards) against the Eagles last year had fewer.

When I arrived here in 2013, I did not know what I was signing up for. I quickly learned what this city demands. But more importantly, what it gives back.
The past 13 years have been the great privilege of my coaching career. I didn’t just work here, I became one of you.

This is what impunity looks like. Reports of settlers burning villages, stealing livestock and beating residents.
This violence is enabled by an Israeli government that refuses accountability. As American Jews, we reject terror and dehumanization – whoever commits it.
Devastated to find out June - who worked at Bob and Barbara’s on South Street in Philly - died on his bicycle in a hit and run. He treated everyone with kindness and respect … he will be sorely missed. 😔
