Tyrese Haliburton dropped 32 PTS, 15 AST, 12 REB and 0 TURNOVERS in Game 4 of the ECF to take a 3-1 lead and I’m supposed to believe it isn’t one of the 25 best performances in the last 25 years?? 😭😭😭
@2Tables1Mic@righttimebomani@bomani_jones When you’re a small market team, you don’t have the luxury of going into the tax for multiple years. Pacers were not going to find a true starting center to compete on the MLE to stay under the cap. Zu has arguably the best value contract in the league.
@2Tables1Mic@righttimebomani@bomani_jones Do your research lil fella. Pacers didn’t even have control of their own 2026 FRP until 4 days before Hali ruptured his achilles. That same 2026 FRP helped us land Siakam. Two FRP, a useless 2nd, and two players who we were going to lose in FA. Zu’s contract alone is worth this.
@2Tables1Mic@righttimebomani@bomani_jones You don’t strike me as somebody that understands roster construction on even the most basic level. I’d truly hit pause before calling a back to back ECF roster a “clown show”
@Gustbra@AlexGoldenNBA@_Facci I totally understand that. I did the exact same thing, especially early on in the season. But once we made the trade for Zu at the deadline, landing the 1-4 pick should’ve been seen as house money if we got it. Adding Zu was far more important than keeping the pick.
@Gustbra@AlexGoldenNBA@_Facci We need to be grateful that we even had the opportunity to get Zu. Had KP and Chad not acted quickly after game 5 of the finals, we’d be sitting in this same exact spot but without Zubac.
@AlexGoldenNBA@_Facci Pacer fans need to remember that we didn’t even have control of this pick until 4 days before Hali ruptured his achilles. Not only did our front office give us the opportunity to get Zu with that last min deal, but we used that same 2026 FRP to help land Siakam.
@SuperDopeHipHop@threescorethor@the2kmessiah@PacersPostUp That’s extremely important contextually to this trade. We already used that pick as an asset to land Siakam and then used the same pick to help land Zubac. Can’t say “we traded the 5th pick for Zubac” when that’s just not accurate to the situation.
@TurdFNOLA5@LovemyNish@WillGuillory Not when you account for the Pacers didn’t even have control of their own 2026 FRP until four days before Hali ruptured his achilles. Pelicans owned our pick via the Siakam, Bruce Brown, Brandon Ingram moves. Pacers traded for our own pick back just after game 5.
@SuperDopeHipHop@threescorethor@the2kmessiah@PacersPostUp Why are you forgetting that we didnt even have our own 2026 FRP until 4 days before Hali ruptured his achilles? The fact our front office was able to get our own pick back just before finding out our team was having a gap year is a win.
@Mic_ah_ha@NathanpmYoung Except the batter used challenge ABS to make sure it was a strike. It is then confirmed by the umpire crew that it was indeed a strike. Matter of fact the pitch was 3.5in inside the zone. If at that point you STILL think the strike was a ball, then yes you might be a nazi.
@PaincersFan@lockedonpacers I don’t think this matters with the Pacers timeline. Pacers don’t NEED to make a move before the deadline, our season isn’t going anywhere this year anyway. Pacers could extended mathurins rookie deal to somewhere in the 22mil range right now and then deal him in the offseason.
@joebobtaco Lmao they’re throwing hands in the air like the losses weren’t avoidable! First team in league history to start 7-1 and finish with a losing record.
