We are thrilled to announce a partnership between DTB and @AKF_Global on planting and growing micro forests 🌳
A micro forest is a small, biodiverse forest, typically 100 squared meters in size with higher carbon offsetting potential and survival rates compared to conventional forests.
Under the partnership, we will be planting 110 micro forests in 70 sites across Kenya, with over 22,000 trees by the end of 2023. The first micro forest in Kenya was planted at DTB Centre, led by DTB Group CEO, Nasim Devji, and AKF Regional CEO, Riaz Nathu.
This initiative is aligned to DTB’s Sustainability & Citizenship agenda and net zero ambitions as well as AKF’s Growth Initiative.
