⭐️: During the holiday, I was out and about, and apparently some of my middle school friends had gotten together. I’d naturally lost touch with my middle school friends because I didn’t have a phone for a while after I debuted, so I ended up losing all their contact information. And then I ran into those friends. It had been such a long time. The really amazing thing was that even though more than ten years had passed, I still remembered their faces.

Yeah, I went to an all-boys middle school in Jinju, Jinju Nam Middle School. So when I saw them, I was just so, so happy to see them. And my friends were like, “Seonghwa! Hey, Seonghwa here!” And then they were saying, “Yeah, we’ve been rooting for you all this time. We’re always liking your posts.”

I thought these friends wouldn’t know what I’d been up to. I really thought they had no idea. But they actually knew everything. They were saying, “We’ve been supporting you since you debuted. We couldn’t really get in touch with you, but we’ve been cheering you on this whole time. We’re so happy things are going well for you.”

And since ‘BAD’ has been doing well recently, they were like, “Hey, it feels like you guys are finally getting recognized now. You were already famous before, but it feels like you’re finally getting the recognition you deserve, so I’m really happy for you.”They were really proud of me.

And I think… because I hadn’t been in contact with them for more than ten years, we’d been so disconnected that I thought maybe I’d just become a stranger to them. But the fact that they had continued to support me all this time, even from afar, without me knowing… I was just really grateful. It made me feel like I had people behind me. I was like, “That makes me feel really reassured. It feels good knowing I have people supporting me.”
