I came from a shithole Muslim country myself, and this has always been a problem with fasting Muslims during Ramadhan.

But I'll say again what I said many years back:

Expecting non-Muslims not to eat in front of Muslims during Ramadhan is like expecting non-cripples not to walk in front of cripples in wheelchairs.

I will NOT modify my behavior and lifestyle to accommodate your idiosyncratic situation. Period.
