@tomfgoodwin Most UX research I experienced in the past with real personas and user testing gets ignored too.
Real data is very low on the priorities of big corporations, and it's almost always completely ignored.
Let's say the quiet part out loud:
Most human tour guides are boring.
An AI that actually knows I love Game of Thrones and explains medieval armor using Lannister analogies is 10x more 'personal' than a human guide giving me a generic lecture.
Personalization > Human made
Wall labels are the worst UI ever invented.
Force visitors to squint at 10pt font in a dark room, standing shoulder-to-shoulder with strangers, just to learn a name and a date.
That's lazy design.
Stop bad UX. Put the story in their ear, not on the wall. ๐ง๐ซ
@guidesofia_app
@peignoir every month I feel the decline with Claude, and I barely can do any work now.
Gemini is no better though, super incompetent in code. hopefully it will catch up
@daveg i've created SARL's in Switzerland, Estonia and Portugal.
CH is expensive but by FAR the easiest. Estonia is OK. PT is a nightmare. (TAXES everywhere!)
@daveg I would love to try! coincidentally after my last reply to you, this was also something I wanted to see implemented when I was working for thermomix/Bimby on their cookidoo site. unfortunately that was still 2017, and way too early for the available tech.
@daveg I started my professional life as a developer in training, later becoming a designer. I now completely abandoned "design" and code directly assisted by AI. I can say that I easily output 3x faster than a team of 5 designers&Devs from my last team @ Zurich insurance.
@daveg I'm excited about this, but I suspect (for now) this might be like 3d printing.
It's a lot more accessible than before, but the learning curve is still huge before one can do something useful.
Not to mention that the UX of the whole chain of production is non-existent.
@daveg I think there's an interesting path for the web moving forward with something like RSS, and AI. a content driven web where the UIs are radical different from today
@daveg funny thing is that we are back to that point again, and though I'm not pitching to investors but clients, some are still skeptical "it's just a tool". it's much more than a tool :)
