one of the most heartbreaking things about Hermione’s story is that she didn’t erase her parents because she stopped loving them, she altered their identities so they’d forget they had a daughter, move to Australia, and have no information Voldemort could use against them and Rowling later clarified that Hermione’s charm wasn’t the same as Obliviate, she modified their memories rather than simply wiping them.
and again yes,Hermione intended to undo it,she explicitly says that if she survived the war, she would find her parents and lift the enchantment.
since she survived, canon strongly implies they got their daughter back, what we never get is the scene that would have been devastating,Hermione standing in front of her parents, restoring seventeen years of memories, and having to face whatever their reaction was. The books simply leave that reunion off page.
