@KevinZardes@James_Pratt_1@TWolvesLead And while he did get worse in the playoffs, he was coming off an injury that forced him to come back in the middle of the first round playing without Luka. The odds were stacked against him of performing his best.
@KevinZardes@James_Pratt_1@TWolvesLead He had shown a very good track record of staying healthy prior to this year (b2b seasons playing 73+) so I don’t think it’s too big of a risk. Also the minimum for all-nba considerations is 65 games, which he fell 14 games short of.
@James_Pratt_1@KevinZardes@TWolvesLead Could the same not be said about Jalen Brunson? Granted Brunson is better offensive player. And I’d argue he’s not as atrocious of a defensive player as you’re making it out to be. It’s just exacerbated by the fact that he’s surrounded by awful defensive personal.
@KevinZardes@James_Pratt_1@TWolvesLead He’ll essentially be the 40th highest paid player next season which is appropriate for his level of production.
And don’t forget he sustained an injury that cost him over a month that disqualified him from what was an assured all-star, and possible all-nba third team appearance
@allthingsmn If you’re trying to maximize the next few years, I don’t know why you wouldn’t just go all in for Giannis. I love DWhite, but this is a marginal upgrade at best - not accounting for future assets.
