As the Serbian people take to the polls in historic numbers, I am deeply concerned by reports that the government is potentially preparing to use violence against citizens aimed at obstructing the voting process. Such attacks are totally unacceptable. I urge Serbia to remain peaceful!
WARNING TO Aleksandar Vučić
Former President of Serbia
Article 52 of the Constitution of the Republic of Serbia guarantees the right to vote and explicitly states that election rights must be protected by law and held in accordance with the law.
Today the citizens of Serbia have spoken.
Know this: We are watching closely from the White House and across OGAs to monitor election results and the certification outcome.
Shock troops dispatched to menace and threaten election commission officials, students, ordinary citizens, opposition candidates and Serbian patriots will not be tolerated.
Accept the outcome. The Serbian people have spoken loud and clear. 🇷🇸
