@roddrickheffley@JamesMacTavish7@hi2298900539958@FF_Tycoon@brndxix Lots of people choose dogs as food and cows as companions (see china, India), so saying we as a collective isn’t correct. Even if we all chose dogs over cows as pets, that decision was arbitrary 😭 going in circles so i gotta end it here
@roddrickheffley@JamesMacTavish7@hi2298900539958@FF_Tycoon@brndxix So if we bred cows to be small enough to fit in houses but still meaty, would you say “ok these are companion animals now so we shouldn’t eat them?” Probs not, because the logistics of fitting an animal in the house are morally irrelevant and an arbitrary measure of being a “pet”
@roddrickheffley@JamesMacTavish7@hi2298900539958@FF_Tycoon@brndxix We can just as easily choose that dogs are no longer companions and cows are: if you are saying “the animals we choose as companions we should not eat” that’s fine, but my reply is “your choice to make dogs companions and cows not is arbitrary”, that’s all.
@SqueezinGarlic@thesoypill The president is the leader of the entire country, has authority on legislation, military, international relations, and is supposed to be a representative of the people. Which one of those applies to “random regular person”? again, is there no level between rando&president to u?
