🥳Good news from Capitol Hill: The House passed the bipartisan TWICE Act (H.R. 5109) by voice vote. This bill helps remove barriers to employment for people preparing to return home from prison.
Grateful to Louisiana Reps. @troyc4Congress and @CaptClayHiggins for their leadership. #Secondchances start with opportunity.
Hear from Prison Fellowship Prison Ministry Manager Brandon Boyce about one of the most memorable Prison Fellowship Academy graduations he's ever attended:
"Last week at Homestead Correctional Institution, we celebrated 23 women graduating from the Prison Fellowship Academy alongside our Academy Manager, Traci Wright.
"Five of the graduates shared powerful testimonies about how the Academy and Ms. Traci's faithful investment in their lives had transformed them. As I listened to their stories of hope, healing, and redemption, I found myself wiping away tears. It was a beautiful reminder that God is still changing lives.
"I also had the privilege of hearing my wife speak at the graduation. Her message, 'Intentionally Abide in Jesus,' was a timely encouragement to the women as they continue their walk with Christ.
"Many of the graduates spoke about the Academy's core values, but the one that stood out most was restoration. It was an honor to witness how God has been working in their hearts throughout the year, drawing them into a deeper relationship with Jesus.
"A special thank you to Pastor Strong and Ms. Green, who faithfully walked alongside these women throughout their journey. Their commitment, love, and encouragement have made an incredible impact. The graduates even honored the volunteers and Ms. Traci with certificates filled with heartfelt words of affirmation, a beautiful picture of the strong bonds of love and community that have been built.
"To God be all the glory!"
A worship anthem declaring God's faithfulness echoes through Homestead Correctional Institution.
Because, even in life's hardest places, God is still working.

Melvin was living on the streets when he met a generous couple who took him to dinner and slipped a $10 bill in his hand, along with a Bible.
But Melvin tossed the Bible in the bushes on the way back to his usual spot, the bar. As he walked away, something made him stop and look back. He heard a voice repeating, “Don’t leave me here.”
But Melvin ignored the plea—and eight months later, he was in a jail cell with a felony charge. After nearly 40 years in prison, Melvin was released in 2021.

Thank you, @GovStitt, for signing HB 4113 and clarifying voting rights for Oklahomans with a criminal record. We were honored to partner with @RepTammyWest, Senator Rader, and the Oklahoma Catholic Conference to help ensure that individuals who have served their time have a clear pathway to the restoration of their voting rights.
