This is a weirddddd take. ‘The right idea’ isn’t a metric. 6 of the 8 corners taken after Arnold in round 1 and 2 are starters/meaningful players. One of the other 2 is rakestraw. Vaki is rb2 by process of elimination not by being good at rb, he was drafted to play special teams, which he is good at, and was to be the 4th rb. Manu played significant time? He hasn’t even played a total of 61 snaps in 3 years lol, not even 1 full games worth.. The Lions averaged 62.5 plays per game last year..
The actual problem is terrible analysis and thinking he’s the smartest guy in the room. 2025 looks like a shit draft also. Tate is the only piece worth anything. Tyleik is not very good and gave up way too much compensation for a wr that can’t get open and was a huge reach.
By paying too many players top dollar it is imperative to get 2-3 solid starters per draft on rookie contracts but that’s not happening and the damage to the team because of it is very evident
