@rod_mallo They have done it in Japan. From start of boarding to push back was 15 minutes for a 747. Almost no carry-on bags because checked bags weren’t an extra fee. There were 8 or so automated customs style gates for ticketing. Window seats were group 1. Middle 2, etc. Magical.

@LiebermanAustin @chamath Overlay housing cost to income ratio and you’ll quickly see this is irrelevant. Not to mention monthly household expenses that didn’t exist 30-50 years ago, i.e. internet, cell phone, and laptop costs. Then there’s inflated health insurance, education, and transportation costs.
